It is time for Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County leadership to move forward.

There is work to be done and that is what Augusta Republican Chairman Kurt Michael is doing.

A SWAC-GOP breakfast last weekend brought out over thirty local Republicans to hear legislative updates from Delegates Chris Saxman and Ben Cline, and to hear from newly-elected Staunton Councilwoman Andrea Oakes.

(Meanwhile, Emmett Hanger's supporters were holding their own breakfast to do what? Plot against their fellow Republicans?)

A school board candidate forum hosted by Chairwoman Anne Taetzsch's Staunton Republicans was held earlier this month to introduce the candidates to the community.

Work continues on campaigns. Last week Republicans made substantial inroads in Waynesboro and Staunton city council elections. Waynesboro's Republicans saw Bruce Allen win a council seat with the most votes ever in that city.

The Republican State convention is coming up ... Congressman Bob Goodlatte has competition from the dems so his campaign team is in place to hold that position in the Valley ... delegates have been voted on for the Republican National Convention coming up in September.

It's time to move ahead in this political season.

That is why we are here ... not for the power games being played by the other side. We are moving ahead to fight the real enemy ... the democrats.

Play ball!
